Two e-detailing plans can carry very different prices and still be difficult to compare. One might charge by the number of medical representatives, another by devices, and another by pages.
Before comparing subscription fees, write down the configuration your pharma company will actually use.

The most useful price comparison is total cost for your actual team—not the lowest number displayed on a homepage.
- Number of Manager and MR accounts
- Number of brands, pages and devices
- Released modules actually included
Count the users who need access
A small marketing company might have one manager and five MRs. Confirm whether a 'user' means the manager, each MR, an active device or all three.
Ask how additional representatives are billed when the team expands, and what happens to access when a person leaves. Do not assume that multiple logins are included because the marketing page says 'company workspace'.
Understand presentation storage and limits
Brands are not the same as visual-aid pages. A plan offering twenty pages across all products is different from one offering twenty pages per brand.
Ask about supported PDF, PPTX and image formats; maximum file sizes; conversion work; storage limits; and whether approved content updates consume new capacity. Test a real deck before buying a large account.
List the operations modules you actually need
POB booking, price-list access, call planning and internal communication may be included, separately priced or unavailable depending on the platform. Put every requirement in a written comparison.
If your company currently needs only prepared tablet presentations, paying for a full CRM-style deployment might not be worthwhile. If you already use spreadsheets for orders and targets, a combined workflow may justify a broader plan.
Ask about implementation and exit costs
Check onboarding, training, customer support, renewal price, taxes, data export and cancellation terms. Understand what happens to locally downloaded material after a subscription ends.
Request a quotation showing the exact setup, duration and included features, rather than relying on an old promotional banner.
