A PowerPoint that looks excellent on a designer's monitor may be difficult to present on a ten-inch tablet. Importing the file into an e-detailing system is only part of the job; the original content must be prepared for the device and the doctor call.

A clean digital visual aid begins with content preparation and ends with a real-device quality check.
- Approved source deck and citations checked
- Fonts, images and charts inspected after import
- Swipe order and selected pages tested
Clean the source before importing
Start from the latest internally approved deck. Remove hidden notes, accidental draft slides and old references.
Confirm formulation spelling, pack details and evidence citations. If the source is a large file with embedded media, check whether your chosen software actually supports those media elements.
Some importers flatten slides into images, so PowerPoint animations may not survive conversion.
Design for a shorter viewing distance
Use a clear typographic hierarchy. Brand name, core statement, figure labels and supporting citations should remain readable without constant pinching and zooming.
Avoid tables with six columns of tiny text. Where a scientific diagram is complex, consider separating it into two approved slides, each with one clear purpose.
Check aspect ratio and orientation
A 16:9 landscape slide will not necessarily fill every tablet screen. Test the app's fit mode and inspect whether cropping affects the label or references at the edge.
Do not stretch a scientific figure so its proportions change. If the page contains a clinical graph, preserving legibility and accurate axes is more important than filling the screen completely.
Review the imported version, not only the source
Open every converted page in the actual viewer and look for font substitutions, shifted tables and low-resolution diagrams. A reliable release process records the source version, approval status and test device.
Then give the deck to one MR for a realistic rehearsal before wider rollout.
